1. Behind the Art Jakarta 2024 Visual Identity

First held in 2009, Art Jakarta is an annual art exhibition with a focus on showcasing the brilliant contemporary works of artists in Indonesia and Southeast Asia. In anticipation of this year’s edition of the exhibition opening on October 4th, Art Jakarta has released an introduction trailer to introduce Art Jakarta 2024’s theme: ‘🪨‘. 3. Tokotype Gets Festive for GoPay with Rupa

Tokotype presents Rupa Sans and Rupa Serif for their client GoPay. This design took a much more explorative and experimental approach for the Tokotype team. “The initial brief emphasized creating something in the Indo Pop style. That in itself is pretty relative to the visual style that’s trending today. Like a type that’s vernacular and traditional. But we felt that that can’t really be properly integrated well if the visual style is still modern. So, we were more subtle in our approach of creating something vernacular, nothing too extreme,” Gumpita elaborated
4. Strong Cultural Character in the Visual Identity Design for IHA

The Indonesian Heritage Agency (IHA) was recently formed by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology (Kemendikbudristek) as a coordinating body between all state owned museums. Actualizing said project, the visual identity design began with the involvement of the Indonesian Association of Graphic Designers (ADGI) head office. Through the ADGI Hub program by the ADGI head office, a selection was conducted with the leadership of each ADGI Chapter as the candidates. Following a set of stages, gemasemesta.co, as the vice head of ADGI’s Jakarta chapter was chosen to be the designer in charge of designing IHA’s visual identity.
