The Vibrant Energy of Jakarta Doodle Fest 2025 Continues to the Musical Stage
The visual art celebration led by TFR News, Jakarta Doodle Fest (JDF), wrapped up another successful edition. Carrying the theme “Welcome Home, Doodlers!”, JDF 2025 took place at Senayan City Mall from October 9 to 12, marking its third iteration since the festival’s debut in 2023.
The opening ceremony on Thursday (October 9) was attended by Christine Laifa (CEO of TFR News and Co-founder of Jakarta Doodle Fest), Sherchle (artist and illustrator), Willy Apriando (Head of Marketing & Branding, Bank Saqu), Nadya Noor (artist and host of JDF’s YouTube series Sketchy Business), and Leo Pradana (Founder of Arbiaro). In its third year, JDF brought back its signature attractions: Creator’s Market, F&B Market, and LittleDoodle, a marketplace dedicated to children.
This year, JDF introduced a range of new themes and activations. The first is Paperoni, a curated booth by JDF that showcases selected artists’ works while also serving as a new label by TFR News, debuting its first product line at the event. The second highlight is the launch of LittleDoodle, JDF’s dedicated children’s edition, allowing young visitors to experience their own mini version of the festival—making JDF 2025 a family-friendly event for all ages.
The festival’s theme, “Welcome Home, Doodlers!”, centers on the malleability of visual artworks that can extend into home goods. The theme reflects JDF’s aim to highlight visual art not just as something to be admired, but as something functional—translating creativity into everyday items such as table mats, cushion covers, lamps, and dining ware. Art, after all, is not only meant to be seen but also lived with. These items were showcased across the JDF Creator’s Market.
“We hope illustrators’ and designers’ products can adorn homes and be used in daily life. Their visuals and characters bring a special touch to any space,” said Christine, speaking about this year’s theme.
As always, JDF featured a rich variety of visual artworks from both local and international creators, offering plenty to feast the eyes and inspire purchases. Among the participants at the Creator’s Market were Joyfull Odyssey, Senikanji, TABI, Kidbash, Nadya Noor, Punopals, Rool Rama, and many others. Through LittleDoodle, visitors could also engage with children-focused creators and brands such as Majalah Bobo, Sylvanian Families, and Hompimpah. The LittleDoodle area was buzzing with creative activities for kids, including a painting workshop by Bartega and a coloring session with Majalah Bobo.
This year’s JDF offered a full-fledged family experience, complete with markets, workshops, and interactive zones—from a relaxation corner by Sense by Jari-Jari and a photo booth, to a Herbal Corner by Sido Muncul, and a collaborative art installation by Arbiaro and Paperina.
And the excitement doesn’t end there. Following the festival’s close, Jakarta Doodle Fest will continue its creative journey with “Musikal Absurd: Hidup Segan But I’m Not Done,” a musical production premiering this November. The show is a collaboration between Jakarta Doodle Fest, Jakarta Art House, and Sherchle, supported by Indonesia Kaya.
The four-day celebration was made possible through the support of its sponsors—Bank Saqu, Tolak Angin, and Paperina—alongside brand partners including Artisan Kuliner Group, Canton 108, Cleo, Combiphar, Granova, Jele Beautie, Realfood, Social Affair, Suu Balm, Toffin, and Tuku. Venue support came from Senayan City, ticketing partner Loket.com, printing partner Xgraphics, hotel partners Artotel Wonderlust and Le Meridien, and Target Media Nusantara (TMN) as the Exclusive Indoor Media Partner.
