The Design Story Behind Kahf Extrait de Parfum’s WORLD BEST PACKAGING 2026 Recognition
Good news for Indonesia’s creative industry. The organization behind WORLD BEST PACKAGING 2026, an international packaging award supported by the Veredictas International Foundation, has announced that Indonesian company ParagonCorp CEI has received the WORLD BEST PACKAGING Selection distinction in this year’s edition. The award was given in the WBP Award category for the best packaging for BEAUTY and PERFUME products, recognizing its Kahf Extrait de Parfum project.
As part of the WBP Award, participants not only submit their own work but also take part in evaluating entries from other participants during the preliminary judging stage. In the second phase, a master jury selects the winning work in each category. This process ensures that the final verdict is determined by an international panel of experts with a critical perspective, resulting in a highly selective list of winners. After passing through these various stages of judging, Kahf Extrait de Parfum earned the WORLD BEST PACKAGING title alongside outstanding projects from around the world.
Kahf Extrait de Parfum is designed as a companion for every journey, accompanying each step with scents that evoke confidence, spark inspiration, and reflect the unique stories that unfold along the way. The product believes that progress is not simply about reaching a destination, but also about experiencing and embracing the journey itself. At its core, the philosophy is rooted in the lessons we carry and the process of refinement that comes with time.
In keeping with this philosophy, the packaging design also carries a story of its own. It began with the belief that imperfection is an essential part of being human. As we strive to grow each day, there is beauty to be found in the flaws we carry. Through the design, imperfection is not presented as a shortcoming, but as a form of strength. It is precisely through these imperfections that our most authentic process of growth can take shape.
This idea became the foundation for the design of the Kahf Extrait de Parfum bottle. The process began with a vision translated into sketches that acknowledged human imperfection, capturing the raw beauty of individuality through asymmetrical forms. Form and meaning are balanced by combining a rough, concrete-like texture with refined details on the glass, representing the unique characteristics that define each person. The element of “imperfection” can also be seen in the shape of the bottle’s shoulders, which are lower and less sharply defined, conveying a sense of humility that one carries throughout life.
Overall, the design establishes a strong character and visual language while reinforcing its position as a perfume defined by quality and a long-lasting fragrance. The packaging also incorporates NFC technology, offering consumers an interactive experience that allows them to discover which fragrance best suits their character.
