Studio Yord Launches the Final Version of The Least You Can Do to Be a Decent Designer (TLYCDTBADD) with an Exclusive Collaboration with Jordan Marzuki

With its five year run, a total of ten cohorts and more than 900 alumni, The Least You Can Do to Be a Decent Designer (TLYCDTBADD) has laid the benchmark for an unusual journey of a design education program. Claiming that its curriculum was never intended to be made public, Yord was created as an internal module, a tool to help Junior Designers at the studio grow into Middleweight Designers. But their effectiveness proved otherwise; bringing on a new life for the material to be shared, which led to its eventual launch. Now, the program continues until today.

On March 6, 2026, Yord officially launched TLYCDTBADD: The Final Version of the On-Demand Class, which they’ve described as the most refined iteration of the program since it was first created. This package features an exclusive collaboration with Jordan Marzuki, illustrator, editorial designer, and founder of independent publisher jordanjordan.co.

What sets TLYCDTBADD apart from other design classes is its approach. The curriculum is structured across four chapters:Roles of Design,Visual Exploration,Grid & Layout, andVisual Language. Each chapter goes beyond theory and breaks down real-life case studies, referenced directly from the professional projects of Studio Yord. Participants are able to witness how design principles function in a real working setting, not just through distant materials on a slide.

This final version has also implemented several changes in its learning experience. All materials are based on live class recordings, which have been remastered into a pre-recorded format to allow participants to conduct independent study. Now, the 60-minute time limit per session from earlier batches has been removed, expanding the duration of a lesson, and allowing each topic to be covered more thoroughly. This version also includes live demos for every assignment, along with access to the BaD Society Discord community for discussion and feedback.

Andre Edfan, Creative Director of Yord, is candid about his intent: "Over the course of 5 years and 10 batches, I have consciously added, removed, and rearticulated the material in TLYCDTBADD to keep it relevant for everyone watching. And I think this on-demand version is the final version that best answers how we can grow into designers who are 'useful’," he said.

He expands this thought, and is equally direct about its accessibility. "My goal has never concerned ambition. At the very least, this course allows every designer to have access to an informal class that covers most of the core principles and foundational theory of graphic design, at a price that is... very reasonable."

For those looking to enter the graphic design industry with a solid foundation, or for working designers who feel a gap between theory and practice, TLYCDTBADD Final Version is available now in on-demand format.

The materials can be accessed with a special 10% discount through http://bit.ly/DDRecordings using promo code GMK10. All materials come with lifetime access, and anyone who previously purchased a license will automatically receive the latest version at no additional cost.
