Airena Kreatif: A Space for Collaboration, Idea Exploration, and Experimentation for Creators
On August 28, 2026, The Brickhall Fatmawati filled up with young people, creators, small business owners, and creative communities who came to take part in a series of workshops marking the launch of Airena Kreatif, an initiative from IM3 under Indosat Ooredoo Hutchison. The program was built as a space for learning and creative experimentation, and it also marks IM3's first collaboration with Adobe Express through the campaign "Lancar Sampai Jadi Pro."
Three workshop sessions ran that day, each taking participants through a different stage of the creative process, from reading visual references, to turning still images into motion, to shaping a story into content ready to be shared.
The first session, Art Into Content, opened with visual artist Muklay. In the first fifteen minutes, Muklay introduced his visual practice and encouraged participants to think about how an existing work can become a starting point for new interpretation. He then demonstrated how to take a visual reference and reshape it into a new direction using Adobe Express, before asking participants to take something from his visual world and make it their own. Color, shape, character, composition, and mood from Muklay's work became raw material each participant could respond to in their own way. During the twenty-minute work session, Muklay moved around the room, watching participants' creative process and offering input where needed.
The second session, Make It Move, featured Brillian Fairiandi, an AI Visual Director, and Primo, an official Adobe Ambassador. Primo opened by introducing the Adobe Express template marketplace, explaining how a design can be turned into a reusable template and outlining the monetization opportunities within Adobe's ecosystem. Brillian then took over to show how AI and Adobe Express can be used to explore motion, transition, and atmosphere, turning a static image into a video with its own distinct mood. Primo returned to walk through how creative output can be developed into templates that can be shared and monetized. Participants were then given twenty-five minutes to produce a fifteen-second video from a static image or visual idea, working with transitions, effects, rhythm, and mood, and were encouraged to turn their result into a reusable template.
The third session, The Art of Visual Storytelling, was the longest of the day at sixty minutes. Andre Edfan, Creative Director at Yord Studio, opened by discussing how typography, color, imagery, and graphic elements shape a story's mood and character. Aulion followed, sharing how a distinctive visual approach can express personality and point of view, drawing on examples from his own practice. He also gave participants an early sense of how a personal story or perspective can be translated into visuals, setting up the challenge to come.
Kristo Imanuel, a content creator and filmmaker who also serves as brand ambassador for the IM3 x Adobe Express campaign, then led the challenge titled "Turn your story into a visual that stands out." Sixty groups of participants were asked to pick a simple story, idea, message, or personal perspective and translate it into a visual piece through one of two approaches. The first, Tell a Story, drawing on Andre's session, had participants use typography, color, imagery, and composition to bring a story to life. The second, Tell Your Story, drawing on Aulion's session, had participants express their own perspective and personality through personal visual choices. The final output took the form of content for Instagram Reels or Feed.
During the twenty-five-minute work period, Andre, Aulion, and Kristo circulated to observe and give direct feedback. A number of selected participants then presented their work, and the three mentors responded with comments on how effectively each piece communicated its story. From all the submissions, the committee chose ten winning groups based on creative interpretation of the brief, strength of storytelling, and visual execution, announced as the closing moment of the workshop.
Airena Kreatif is described as an ecosystem that will keep growing through partnerships with various communities, aimed at opening up more access to knowledge, connections, and opportunities amid the growth of Indonesia's creator economy. The three workshop sessions at this launch offered an early look at that direction, bringing creative practitioners together with participants from different backgrounds to learn directly from the process of making work.
