Dali Geralle Discusses the Deconstruction of Time and Vandalism in His Solo Exhibition in Indonesia

“Post-vandalism decomposes elements of graffiti to reassemble them into a newer visual language. It is a process where vandalism is challenged into a form of love and sensitivity,” says Dali Geralle, an abstract expressionist artist from Milan who will be presenting his solo exhibition in Indonesia. Ricordati Che Sei in una Timeline opens to the public this Saturday, August 22, 2026, at Studioland Artspace in South Tangerang.

This fresh cross-cultural collaboration features a curated selection of the artist’s older and newer works, as well as intuitive explorations created in Jakarta. The concept of post-vandalism is the focal point of this exhibition; a reconstruction of graffiti as a more sensitive and poetic form of abstract art.

When translated into English, the title of this exhibition means “Remember that you are in a timeline.” With this phrase, Dali responds to the concept of non-linear time. Thus, in this exhibition, the artist presents the intersection between memories of the past and projections of the future, ranging from an experimental photo series in an abandoned building, the figurative painting La Rassegnazione, to his latest work, La seconda vita in terra bruciata, which was completed right here in Jakarta.

Dali Geralle (born 1994) is a visual artist based in Milan, Italy. Having begun his career in the worlds of graffiti and fashion photography, his artistic practice now focuses on experimentation with paint and photographic mediums that explore the concepts of post-vandalism, urban visual language, and the manipulation of time.
