Graphic Design Shines at Pinasthika Creativestival XX

Pinasthika Creativestival XX, a prestigious event in Indonesia’s advertising and creative industry, was successfully held in Yogyakarta on November 21–22, 2024. The event served as a gathering and celebration for advertising agencies, designers, and creative industry practitioners. This year, Pinasthika carried the theme "Reflexion: Guiding Brands to Accelerate Without Forgetting Purpose," emphasizing the importance of balancing brand growth with positive contributions to society.  

The Chairman of Pinasthika Creativestival, Rizal Kasim, stated that the event was a success, with high enthusiasm from program participants and award nominees. During the two-day event, participants from the advertising and creative industries exchanged experiences and insights about the challenges of the globalized business landscape. “More than just an annual event, Pinasthika is a movement to celebrate the brilliance of ideas and creativity in the creative industry. Pinasthika has successfully become a hub for actors in the creative industry, including advertising agencies, design studios, media and IP creators, communities, and universities, to collaborate,” he said in an official statement.

Pinasthika Creativestival XX featured three main programs. The Main Program included the awarding ceremony for categories such as Advertising & Design, Ad Student & Young Video Director, The Most Creative Campus Award, and Creative Creator Award. The first Supporting Program, Learning, offered a series of creative seminars, workshops, and executive sessions to enhance participants’ knowledge and skills. The second Supporting Program, Networking, included interactive activities such as the Pinasthika roadshow, creative galleries, community and creator talk shows, and "Brand & Agency Speed Dating" sessions.  

In the graphic design category, the design studio SatuCollective® achieved remarkable success, winning Gold for Grafis Nusantara Vol. 3: Seri Label Kretek in the Book/Magazine category. Additionally, SatuCollective® secured a Bronze award for the visual identity design of Bintaro Design District 2024: Analog Reality in the Corporate Identity category. The design studio DEIO® Branding & Design also earned a Bronze award in the Corporate Identity category for the visual identity of Hadiprana. In the Posters & Cards category, Yogyakarta-based Sumur Creative was awarded the Bronze prize for their Amex Poster 2024 project.

In addition to the awards program for creative industry professionals, Pinasthika Creativestival XX also featured the Adstudent by Sequis category. This competition was specifically designed for university students, with a format based on a brief provided to participants. Each team consisted of two students representing their respective universities. In this category, Universitas Kristen Petra Surabaya achieved outstanding results, winning two major awards: Gold, through the team of Cindy Natalia and Michele Safira, and Bronze, through the team of Michael Vincent and Stepanja Char Ayu. Thanks to these exceptional achievements, Universitas Kristen Petra was named The Most Creative Campus of the Year at Pinasthika Creativestival XX. This recognition further highlights the vital role of educational institutions in nurturing creative talent in Indonesia.
