Description

VML is looking for a Junior Art Director to develop original communication concepts and visual ideas that align with clients’ strategic business objectives. In this role, you will collaborate closely with the wider creative team, driving art direction and design execution from concept through completion across integrated channels. You will help create impactful and innovative campaigns by exploring multiple creative approaches, generating fresh visual directions, and experimenting with optimization efforts to strengthen campaign effectiveness. The ideal candidate demonstrates strong fundamentals in layout, typography, illustration, photography, and emerging creative disciplines, while maintaining high standards of craft and attention to detail. You will also support Senior Art Creatives, take ownership of timely deliverables, and work closely with Associate Creative Directors and Executive Creative Directors to ensure all creative outputs align with client brand standards and achieve maximum impact.

Qualification

• Minimum 2 years’ experience as a professional Art-Based Creative/Designer in a multimedia agency, advertising agency, or design studio
• Strong portfolio that demonstrates excellence in campaign conceptualization and execution, showcasing mastery in layout, typography, illustration & design, etc.
• Highly skilled in various design software and programs such as Illustrator, Photoshop, and the like
• Proven ability to create amazing work
• Possesses a keen eye for detail and is able to communicate creative/design solutions with confidence, ease, and clarity
• Understands the technical possibilities and limitations of Web development, with an emphasis on front-end development (CSS, HTML5, etc.)
• Strong understanding of information design and the topology of information for the web
• Creative, ever curious, and an outgoing personality are a plus
